What is Aqualyx?

Aqualyx is an injectable solution designed to break down small pockets of fat that have not responded to diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment.

Who is it for?

It can suit people who are close to a healthy weight but have localised areas of stubborn fat, such as under the chin or around the abdomen. Treatment is only available to clients aged 18 and over.

Your consultation

Before any treatment, Roxy will talk through what you would like to achieve, review your medical history, explain the possible risks and side effects, and agree a plan with you. If Aqualyx is not the right option for you, she will tell you.

What happens on the day

The area is marked and cleansed, and the solution is injected into the fat layer. Most appointments take around 30 minutes.

Aftercare and recovery

Swelling, tenderness and some bruising are common for several days. You will be given aftercare advice before you leave.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aqualyx a weight-loss treatment?

No. It is designed for small, localised areas of fat, not for overall weight loss.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need several sessions spaced a few weeks apart, depending on the area.

Is there downtime?

Swelling and tenderness are common for several days, so it helps to plan around this.
